David Jacoby is an award-winning Swedish ethical hacker, cybersecurity researcher, author and international keynote speaker with more than 30 years of experience. From the early hacking underground to the boardrooms of major global organisations, he has spent his career asking one deceptively simple question: what happens if we challenge the way a system is supposed to work?
David has uncovered serious security vulnerabilities, pioneered research into the insecurity of connected homes and devices, investigated cybercrime and advised senior leaders at multinational organisations. He is Chief Strategy Officer at Syndis and founder of Unbreached and the Threat Prevention Center, initiatives focused on turning specialist offensive-security knowledge into practical protection.
Outside the cybersecurity industry, David was one of the ethical hackers on Swedish national television's HACKAD_ and served as a technical advisor on David Lagercrantz's continuation of the Millennium novels, helping to make Lisbeth Salander's hacking authentic. He is a global ambassador for HackShield and supports initiatives that improve children's digital safety. He co-authored ESG in the Age of AI (2026).
His keynotes combine live hacking, psychology, humour and unexpected philosophical questions. He moves easily from the history and culture of hacking to the economics of the dark web, AI-assisted attacks, leadership, digital trust and why human behaviour matters more than another box on the network. His goal is not to frighten an audience with technical jargon, but to give executives and employees a new way of thinking about technology and concrete ideas they can use immediately.
Recognition includes Excellent Speaker 2024 (Speakers&friends/Di network), the Swedish Theft Prevention Association's merit distinction in 2021, and a #1 position on a published list of ethical-hacking keynote speakers. He speaks in English and Swedish and adapts talks for corporate, executive and technical audiences.
