Dr Rutendo is a Business Development Leader at Deloitte Africa and is responsible for taking the firms multi-disciplinary value proposition to market with a primary focus on working with multi-lateral and multi-national companies in their pan-African strategy. Over the last 20 years Rutendo has done business in over 20 African countries and has in-depth understanding and experience of helping businesses navigate through the African continent.
With the African continent at a critical inflexion point caused by Covid-19 that is fostering it into promoting local industrialisation as well as integrated continental trade (i.e.ACFTA) that leverages off the global trade Ecosystem, Dr Rutendo works closely with a host of clients and their c-suite in advising them on how to navigate through the opportunities and threats on the continent.
Prior to joining Deloitte , Rutendo was part of the Sage Plc Africa and Middle East executive leadership that had a successful ‘grow Africa’ strategy. Rutendo is also a Founding Faculty member and Programme Director for the Deloitte Alchemy School of Leadership that provides executive leadership programmes leveraging off Deloitte’s global advisory capabilities and IP.
Rutendo has an insatiable desire to see the exponential growth of business in Africa through Africa’s greatest resource – Its People.
