With her unique style and sense of humour, Lorraine has become a popular international keynote speaker.  She runs workshops, consults, builds and manages fully furnished “green” exhibition homes and hotels.

In 2001 she launched a world-first online, non-profit “yellow pages” product directory for hospitality -  www.hotelstuff.co.za for all industry sectors followed by www.greenstuff.co.za which lists only eco-friendly goods and services- used by up to 33,000 buyers a month. She has24,000 opted-in followers.

Her career as an activist began in the 1970s during her hippie years when she travelled to California and worked with the brand-new Environmental Protection Agency.  After returning to South Africa Lorraine spent 15 years as Contracts and Procurement Manager for Africa’s largest international hotel chain – working on new builds, refurbishments, management and operations of 82 hotels. It became her personal mission to find greener, more eco-sustainable version of every product and service in her Purchasing Manual.
