Mike Stopforth is a digital pioneer, author, and expert communicator passionate about exploring ideas and building value at the intersection of leadership, technology, and impact. Over the past two decades, Mike has worked with some of the world’s most influential brands, guiding them through periods of digital disruption and organizational change. A globally respected keynote speaker, facilitator, and lecturer, he is known for translating complex digital trends into practical strategies that drive transformation and long-term relevance.
Mike is currently the Managing Director of Second Rodeo, a specialist agency designed to help brands get customers “over the line”—bridging the gap between interest and action through compelling content, smart strategy, and meaningful customer experiences. Second Rodeo brings together Mike’s deep expertise in digital communication, leadership development, and business transformation to help organisations adapt and thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
Previously, Mike founded Cerebra, Africa’s leading social media agency, which was acquired by global advertising giant WPP in2013. He also co-founded Afrigator, one of the continent’s first blog aggregators, later sold to Naspers. More recently, he launched Beyond Binary, a digital leadership academy equipping executives and teams with the tools to navigate disruption.
