Mimi Kalinda is a global communications and marketing expert with 26+ years of experience across Africa, Europe, and the U.S. She is the CEO and co-founder of Africa Communications Media Group (ACG), a leading pan-African PR agency headquartered in Johannesburg. Mimi has led impactful campaigns for major global organizations such as MTN, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, African Union, Mastercard Foundation, and more.
She has worked at top firms including Fleishman Hillard and Weber Shandwick, winning prestigious PRISM Awards for work with Barclays and the AU’s Ebola campaign. As Global Director of Communications for AIMS, she launched the Next Einstein Forum. She has also worked in the U.S. film and television industry and received a One World Media Award.
Mimi frequently coaches and facilitates Storytelling& Leadership sessions for the Obama Foundation, LinkedIn, Absa, and top African business schools. She is an Adjunct Professor at IE University(Madrid), sits on multiple boards, and advises on Africa’s brand reputation globally.
Recognitions include Africa’s Best PR Leader (WCFA,2022), LinkedIn Influencer, and Forbes Afrique 40 under 40. She holds a Media Studies degree (cum laude) from NYU and has authored two books, including Echoes of Influence: Storytelling as Business Strategy.
